Playing The Rockin' Ramrods - Best - Iris Music Group CD comp that I just got in the mail.
Excellent.
Been waiting to replace that old Eva comp of their stuff which I have had for many moons.
Have to be careful , though. There seem to be several other comps available which are extremely inferior...
Yeah ......not bad.
I find the entire "kept" band aura of this thing pretty amusing.
That's Richard Burton's ex that is being hoisted on the cover.
She was their...ummmm.... sponsor ? Mentor ?
Especially Jordan Christopher's.
More than a whiff of Mrs. Robinson mayhaps?
I'll have to pull out this...
Heart So Cold ! - The North Country 60's Scene - Baccus Archives/Dionysus LP - Now playing..............Move It ! - "Wild" Bill Kennedy & The Twiliters.
As the liner notes enthuse and the vinyl proves...........There was mucho rockin' out all over between Elvis going in the Army and the Mop Tops...
Just finished up The Barbarians on Laurie mono LP.
Now listening to Lost Souls Vol. 3 CD.
Far more consistent and entertaining than the previous volume IMO.
Listening to The-Merry-Go-Round on original A & M stereo vinyl.
Keep putting the stylus back on "Had To Run Around".
I am a sucker for heartbroken catch-in-the-throat plaintative ballads ya know.
Well....yeah.....an alluring light fizz of fuzz and as long as she still squeaks when it pops then what's the problem?
I understand this stuff being an old codger.
