Welcome to G45 AI....for those who dare....

The instruments sound newer, like studio musicians. All the output has a same-y quality instead of the unique sounds of the original model. And the melodies are jerky, incoherent, one-note and one-dimensional. It's just horrible! I guess they got some studio musicians to replace the original...

Welcome to G45 AI....for those who dare....

It's no longer possible to get killer '60s garage style songs from the currently available AI models such as UDIO and SUNO. They have both been ruined, presumably to stop any possibility of copyright infringement. I'm quite sad about it, because I really loved what UDIO could come up with...

    Basement Walls Latest Update

I think it's incredible. I would probably normally go for an 8, although I sometimes think there should actually be more 9's and 10's. So with that in mind I might give it a 9. The dreamy flip is ok but a bit too lightweight for my taste. I give it a 5 (barely).

Welcome to G45 AI....for those who dare....

ChatGPT ImageGen has come a long way in 2 years. This is the first image I generated after today's ImageGen update. They definitely look like brothers, don't they? But what exactly is the drummer sitting on, I wonder? Maybe the guitarist's hand? Please create an image of a Texas garage band of...

    Obituaries

Wow. That's shocking. The last Doll standing checks out. :sadd: Also Brian James, one of the greats.

    Obituaries

If there was a separate Obituaries forum way down the list of forums, it would probably be largely ignored by many members. G45Central already has more forums than actve members! 😆 A compromise would be to keep this thread going for notices of perhaps lesser interest, for artists in related...

Ty Wagner & Jon Spencer on KEXP

Great, I love it! Two scorching lead breaks. One of them on bass!

    It's on Fenton

Maybe yes and no. If the record is known to exist in quantity, then waiting for a m- copy is reasonable. But who knows if a m- Highlifes even exists? In many cases you have to settle for a vg, if only 2 or 3 copies are known. It can be a gamble, if you pay a lot of money for the best known copy...

    It's on Fenton

It's only money. And maybe easy to get if the above buyers happen to be smart at playing the stock market. Easier than finding the 45s at a thrift store! However I find it hard to get my head around the vg Highlifes. It's nice and everything, but... on the other hand, it seems to be very rare...

    Masterbeat64 has passed on ...

Masterbeat64 was a much loved and respected member of this forum. We enjoyed reading this recent reminiscence on his first encounters with rock n roll. A man of impeccable taste. For those who missed it here's a link. https://g45central.xenforo.cloud/threads/living-without-the-past.5710/

    The Great Wall 4-song acetate

I quite like the first 3 tracks, especially "The World Of My Mind". To engage in pure speculation, I guess these are very late 60s recordings, or even early 1970s. It seems to me that the guitar could be recorded direct, which would be unusual for a mid-60s recording, because it would take up a...

    The Brothers Of Kent Acetate

Thanks for the post, A.B. I'm one of the ones who can not access the FB forum. I like both chords. Should have been included on the "Ear Piercing Punk" comp.
