They want to release the CD after the LP. The albums have been repeatedly delayed by pressing plant issues but they're hoping they'll be available in the next few months.

The CD version of this will include bonus cuts by precursor group The Present Daze ("It's Only Her," Ramco, 1966).

Sad to hear this. I always enjoyed talking to him and bought several cool 45s (the British Walkers' "Watch Yourself" was one I remember) at his store when I lived in the D.C. area from 2001-02.

Alec mentioned this project to me when he was in Phoenix in November. I'm especially interested in hearing the unreleased tape of The Olympics doing "So Mystifying," which Alec speculated could be the earliest example of an American group recording a Kinks song.

I haven't followed eBay sales but I'm puzzled that none have popped up in years. I'll take your word for it though. Anyone who likes the Commodore Condello EPs will want to track down this 2013 CD release of the unreleased LP, with similar parodies of Dylan, James Brown, Johnny Rivers, etc...

Actually, it turns up frequently in Phoenix. It's a $20-$25 record with the sleeve here. There's a dealer at the local record show who has had quantity for years. (She's actually the daughter of the guy who ran the Wallace & Ladmo Drive-In restaurants and helped finance the Blitz releases.) The...

Amoeba Records in Hollywood had a huge stack of the new BFTGs in February (including endcap display), so hopefully they were able to move some copies. I know there is at least one store in Arizona that has been trying to get them in but so far has had no luck with its distributor, who apparently...
