    Thrift Store Treasures

After years of digging, my thrift store finds can be counted on a mere two hands. Steeple Peeple (on B.T. Puppy), Counts (Rich-Rose), Cherry People (Hot Cotton), Fuzzy Bunnies (Decca), Fifth Order (Diamond), Maxx (Mainstream), Thee Midniters (Chattahoochee), The Masque (Master), In-sex (Hammer).

Surprise, surprise - idle chatter about TBM

Thanks for your reply. I've been collecting 60's music for only a few years, so many of these titles and groups are new to me. I just gave "Always You" a listen on Youtube, and yes, I would buy that record.

Surprise, surprise - idle chatter about TBM

I'm not sure if this has been discussed. I notice that sometimes there will be a short reference to a group's other 45s. For example, there's a primary listing for The Sundowners on Filmways. Blaine Smith & Greg Novik with the Resumes

My instincts told me this record would be Country, and I probably shouldn't waste a dollar. Just finished researching it, and am so glad I took a chance. Some rockin' instrumentals here! Blaine Smith--of the Newports--and Greg Novik--of the Resumes (BSE) The Boss / Hold It

Ace Frehley (Casablanca) "New York Groove/Snowblind." Flashforward 30+ years from 1979 and NYG is the theme song for NY Ink.

Help me ID blank Audiodisc acetate

Thanks Frantic and MopTopMike. Unfortunately I'm unable to render a sound file at this time. I'm one of these poor shlubs who relies on library computers. It does help to know it's not The Rogues. Out of the few Audiodisc acetates listed in the Barry Wickham guide, that was the only one that...

Help me ID blank Audiodisc acetate

I'm a longtime lurker, posting for the first time on this site. I’m trying to identify the group behind a blank 7” red-black Audiodisc acetate I found recently. I’ve transcribed some of the lyrics and hope somebody recognizes them. The singer sounds sort of like Eric Burdon. The best song...
