Since I retired a couple of years ago I have become interested in the the kind of music that is followed here. I have not gotten into collecting the 45s but have instead limited myself with merely enjoying and learning about the music.

I am a true neophite and simply hope to increase my knowledge by following the blog. I won't be bothering anyone with normal newcomer questions or bugging everyone with requests. I just want to increase my understanding of this fascinating subject.

I see that someone here is in the process of publishing a book on the subject. I look forward to seeing it and appreciate that someone has taken the time and effort to document the knowledge that I'm sure has been amassed very slowly over the years.
