I can’t find where he mentions the name of the group. Does he?

The Sounds of Five might be my favorite too.

    Gentlemen Misty Lane Records EP??

I assisted Misty Lane on many of their ‘60s releases and was in frequent contact with label owner Massimo during that time. I can’t 100% state it as a fact, but I don’t recall that being produced.

There is an entry for a band named Candy & The Corals on the KBK label in TBM’s No Dice section. Error in TBM?

Ha ha…I wondered if anybody else enjoyed the lightweight genius of the Arrogants. Two-sided winner for sure.

    Country Joe McDonald

I’ve never really given them a chance. I’ll have to check those out.

Surprise, surprise - idle chatter about TBM

I’m reading the Disc-O-Teen book, and this group of Fugitives appeared to promote Your Girl Is A Woman. I think the flip, She Believes In Me—a pretty decent moody Beatleish song—is better and should be rated in TBM.

    The Empty Set on Coral

Heat Wave is on both singles. I haven’t heard either and it could be a coincidence, but likely the same group. There are at least a few Minnesota groups that recorded at IGL. Maybe MTM can confirm.

    The Empty Set on Coral

TBM lists the Coral group from Maryland. The IGL and Cardinal group are I believe from Minnesota.

What’s the Gnomes and Co. comp? The other MTM compilation?

It still sounds like the Redcoats/Statesiders/Sidekicks to me.

    Boy Wonder Records

I bought it and it’s great. I’m hoping there will be several more releases this year.

AI.Burnett1966 compiled Forgotten Things #2 so hopefully he can confirm, but I presume they’re the same. Caped Crusader/Boy Wonder always have great 45 presentations with lengthy notes so it’s worth a purchase regardless.
