The lyrics are very carefully constructed, and necessarily condensed, based on accounts of the 1963 robbery. I haven't been able to find the very detailed primary article that I used in my attempt to discern the lyrics a decade ago. Here's what I recollect.

Wow, Like It Or Lump It is a great punker, who would have thought? The flip is good with a great instrumental break and somewhat similar in style to I'll Keep Searching, certainly more in keeping with the 'Ides' sound.
Yes, I have the original 45's for both versions of the Cindermen and The Spike Drivers. My observations were made based on direct comparison.
For the Gateway, you should have noted 5/ instead of / ; that would indicate it was rated.
