High Energy Soul 45s for Garageheads

Great hypnotic track (with an uncredited Little Feat backing him up!).

Associated Recording Studios Acetates to identify (UK?)

I just took the info on Discogs as gospel (which I know I shouldn't!): The Savages (3) Great Neck, New York Members: Ken Sonnenberg, Neil Portnow, Rick Lazes. Neil Portnow's Wikipedia entry mentions The Savages at least: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neil_Portnow

Associated Recording Studios Acetates to identify (UK?)

"She Should Care" is penned by Ken Sonenberg who was a member of The Savages that had a 45 on Red Fox (one of the sides on that one is penned by him as well and published by Gil Music). "She Should Care" is great and actually sounds quite a bit like The Savages to my ears...

Foolish People: clueless ebay record sellers

It is pure folk from 1966. Moody for sure, but doesn't even pass for the "loner" tag. Soundclip: https://d1e9ycqe323hkh.cloudfront.net/audio/2cdc1185df1f67ff00011a27c501e944.mp3

Noticed that neither of these by pre-The Heirs group The Critters were rated (though mentioned) in TBM so I've uploaded them. Moody tunes that I'm sure would score very low. Copyrighted in August and September 1965. "You'd Better Slow Down" was later re-recorded on Panorama by The Heirs in a...
