Anyone heard of El Tri (Mexican Garage)?

I live in the states and was eating at a Mexican restaurant today. When I walked in, it didn't register at first (I'd been listening to the Wyld Sydes comps in my car) .

And then it hit me, I'm not in my car, I'm at a restaurant. I asked who was playing (expecting them to say it was piped in). Instead, they both enthusiastically said that I was listening to El Tri. I'm not sure if this artist (or group?) did one song (for the times) or if they were totally dedicated. The older employee said that the song came out in about 1970. To my years and from what I heard, it reminded me of "Journey to Tyme" if it had came out a year or two later. Maybe it was just the moment., but what ever the song, it sounded good to my ears.

Due to internet searches being written in a language that I don't understand, I thought I'd come here and see if anyone is familiar with this artist/group?

Also, I remember seeing them perform in a couple of Mexican outlaw biker films that starred a masked wrestler. They were part of the gang.
There was a scene in the first film that was shot like a music video where the gang invades a house and rapes three women. It's all done to a Three Souls psych-blues jam, and the trio is shown playing in the living room.

Thanks to you all for the information. Yes, it does sound like I heard Three Souls in my Mind and was mistakenly told that it was El Tri.
Hearing this in this restaurant (which is sort of "Americanized" looking) was kind of surreal. I plan to check further into this group.
Thanks again.
