Best comps of the Aughts

here's just a short list of personal faves from what has unfortunately become (for garage comp collectors) the decade we love to hate.... btw, this is *only* stuff released as hard copy c.d.'s/l.p.'s/etc. and these are listed in no particular order, they're all great! just tryna drop some helpful hints for those (maybe) 2 people on this forum who still haven't gotten down with some of the better/newer US 60s garage comps - please feel free to add yr own list here:

Unissued Sixties Garage Acetates is definitely one of the BETTER comps that's come out as of late. When you buy those, you know you're getting your money's worth :)

How about the three volumes of Ft. Worth Teen Scene on Norton? Along with the Fenton Box the nicest designed comp of the aughties, at least as far as I am aware. Consider just a few of the tracks contained within:

The Bards - Alibis
The Elite - My Confusion
Nomads - Be Nice

oh yeah, that Ft. Worth series is definitely right up there with the Fenton set as one of the best regional comps. the Sundazed USA/Destination Records retrospective and a few others also have done the regional comp approach plenty of justice recently

Beside Trip in tyme, You're playing..., Cuca, I have them all and I agreed that there great comps! If I have to choose just a couple in that list, I have to say that the teenage shutdown 12-15 and the Fenton Lp box are my favorites.
On the french canadian from Quebec comp front, the one to have is the great "Quebec dans le vent vol.1" !

much of the contents of the You're Playing With Fire l.p. also appear on both Trip In Tyme cd's vol 1 & 2, so if you have those you have most of You're Playing.....the Trip In Tyme series (in case you didn't know) is basically the cd treatment of the entire late 90's/early 2000's Lance (and Lanze and Stroke) label comp l.p.'s. The Manic Mustang label put these cd's out and is also responsible for releasing the Total Raunch comp....Trip In Tyme vol 4 deserves special attention imho cuz it has great songs that haven't been on other comps (Lance or otherwise) including great pop punk, folk garage, and top notch 'Shutdown 66'-type minor key brooders, plus the incredibly primal punk of The Big Inners' 'Do You Wonder', probably the rawest record to come out on the Pacific n.w. Panorama label
