This question really doesn't veer off the garage topic too much. Back in the 80's when those comps where starting to come out on vinyl I kept hearing gossip (from local record store owners in Boston) that they were coming out of Australia? Can any one confirm that?

I was buying the Born Bad series back in the '80s. I lived in Sydney but had no idea they were from Australia until someone told me on good authority they were being done by Au Go Go records, which was a shop & label based in Melbourne.
