After hearing rumors about somewhat older cd's and exorbitant prices I decided to look for myself and am more than a bit amazed to see 2nd hand copies of Elevators, Golden Dawn and the usual suspects going for $100 plus. Even what I thought to be easy to obtain cd's like Status Quo (60's), Kaleidoscope (UK) fetch those prices for used copies. Can anyone enlighten me, mucho confused here:icon_rolleyes:

It all depends what versions. Check discogs.com for the info you are looking for.

Alas my friend also lousy issues go for big bucks. Same with DVD's
and books too. The Badfinger biography goes for huge bucks, sad story, great band. If you wanna check out some of these things please check Bol.com a Dutch Amazon kinda store.👍

Do they really sell for huge prices or are greedy sellers just advertising them so? Same as vinyl, as discussed here many times. There seems to be no end of sellers who offer the same records for a zillion dollars each year after year. Sure, they might snag a sucker now and again, but many of these items are never gonna move at these prices. If they really do sell them on Bol.com, then we now all know where to offload all our unwanted CDs, DVDs etc

There are several media sellers on ebay who basically drop ship everything, they don't actually own any product. They'll advertise a CD for $100 that they can buy from another marketplace for $40 hoping to get a sucker. One seller has 70,000 listings & his feedback reflects this (late shipping, item not as described, etc)

They are all just greedie, most collectible cds should not be worth more than 100.00.imomost should be less even if there is a short run on them no matter how long ago they were pressed
