Checking in for service and repair

My apologies for the recent down-time here at g45central. There was an on-going problem with the "old" finerecordingstudio.com forum, which is now fixed. The old forum is now hosted here at g45central and should be much more reliable from now on.

However while fixing the old forum, I broke the new one. It was down for a day, but it's back up and running now as you can see. Hopefully that's the end of any more problems associated with the old forum.

Also apologies for my general absence from the board for the last few months. As some of you are aware, I'm very busy looking after family members who are unwell. There's nothing I can do about it except hope for the best and try to check in occasionally to say "hi" to everyone here. Some recent emails and private messages from members have not been answered, but I will get to those as soon as I can.

Old age is a bitch. My father is 82 and senility is taking it's toll. He's also living next door to me and eager to visit with stories of incredible plots, involving strangers that only he can see. It's sad, but also a chance for me to pay back some of the love my parents gave me when I grew up. Dividing time between my father and my kids, whoops, there went the world of 45 collecting!

No worries, Mark. Family is far more important than any garage band forum. Not that this is just any old garage band forum, mind you, but I think you know what I am trying to say.

Hi Mark.

I hope that all thinks are okay on the home front. Take as much time as you wish, as you only have one mum and dad.

BTW I've now finished issue one of Primitif Sounds, will be sending it to the printers quite soon.

Also I've just interviewed a bloke who played in The Unknown Blues & X-es. (Brissy bands). Great stories, including picking up an bass amp for The Bay City Union, then a wild party at Glenn Wheatley's place. Also being invited to a party on the Gold Coast at the Creatures' pad.
