Though I never found a cool junk shop or record store anywhere in n.e. Pa., there is an awesome 60's radio station (probably run by a robot, lol) that broadcasts via public access t.v. channel 10 here in coal country. They've been playing all sorts of killer one hit wonders of the Nuggets variety mostly, as well as more typical Brit Invasion and pop-soul stuff (but thankfully even some of that stuff seems to be more from the mid-range of the 60's pop charts).

One *great* record I discovered via the station is Del Shannon's 'Keep Searchin', wow(!), what a kick ass moody teen folk rocker. Did Del release alotta stuff like this? I'm more familiar with his rockin 50's and early 60's frat sounds, and of course the 'Charles Westover' psych pop stuff....

Members of this forum mentioned Del Shannon from time to time. So I checked him out and became a fan. Apart from "Keep Searchin'" these two songs might be the ones most suitable to be called "kick ass moody teen folk rocker":

My Favourite Delsongs in my possession are:-

and teeth gritting best of his but you've heard this on a Teenage shutdown

I found the 3 mid 60's ones plus "Keep Searching" (UK pressings) in a charity shop in my hometown of Rugby in one pile. I skipped out of there so pleased to have found Move it on Over..... Score. Go Del. But the others were also so Mod.
