ebay has become such a volatile site during the last couple of years. i know it's lame reminiscing about "old times", but ebay used to be such fun around 2000, perhaps up to the early 2010s. so many cool garage 45s each day, and sometimes you would even get lucky and score something that modboy1 did overlook (well, that more or less never happened). i still go thru listings every night more or less but 99% is shit, and the rest gets crazy bids. and i stopped selling there because all they want is fuck your ass for the $$$.

Starting August 1st they're raising the free listings from 50 to 200 for non-store sellers.

Discogs gives me millions of free listings and only 8% final value fees.

ebay free listings = I have to see the same junk week after week.

It was better when they charged .25 per listing. The garbage would drop off after a couple tries.

12.35% plus ebay is pushing their new payment system on sellers which has its own fees.

The above is the specific memory that I have from the mid 2000's. I'm sure that he's a nice guy, but during those times of bidding, I'm glad that he couldn't hear my words (after losing to him countless times). I bet that he has one heck of a collection.
