There is a record on Polaris Records entitled Hard Luck Mary/What Are You Doing In Brooklyn? by a group named Foxfire. I'm wondering what anyone knows about this group, since there have been a number of bands that used the name Foxfire. Of course, there was a Polaris label out of Boston, but the dead wax engraving of 9/15/70 reveals that this label had already folded.

Post-psych fatrock, not bonehead (at least not by my definition). Some decent fuzz and heavy organ on Side A (which is decent). Some good fuzz/wah on a crappy song on Side B.
I'm not adding it to my want list.
I bought it in the interest of completing my CT collection to the extent possible. Yeah it's not so hot but I don't care because that's not why I bought it.

I used to do that with certain things, but not so much any more. Mostly as a matter of economy (space, budget), but also in a large part of a change in collecting mindset. I developed a tendency to not hang onto something just to have it. I have to listen to it with some decent regularity, and not just when I'm culling the collection and deciding to keep something or not..
I have my "FMU Rule" based on that. The rule is if the only time I listen to a record is when I'm getting my boxes ready for the fair, it goes the second time that happens.
Pretty much everything I like, especially 45s, winds up on one or more of my CD mixes.
