Don't laugh at me if this is a common or well known release. I don't know everything about the Detroit Garage scene! I found this acetate in a publishing company archive that I bought in Southern California. The owner was originally from ohio and moved to Detroit for a few years and was involved in the revered Pied Piper Productions team he then moved out to Southern California to work for fantasy records. It is on a United Sound Systems Acetate, but no band name. The songs are Your Lovin and You Been Cheating On Me.

There are another 100 or so master tapes on thier way to me now. Then I was packing them I opened one and it was a Seeds Master with a Business Card in the box, hopefully it is something unreleased!! Sorry to invade your turf Joey;)

Wow, that's some classy shit! And top sound quality!
If the rest of the 100 tapes is somewhere near that you should start a comp series.;)
You could call it "Working In A Goldmine".

Most of the Masters are Detroit Soul with some odds and ends thrown in. I did see some interesting tapes from when he got out to Cali in 1967-1970.

Both sides are very good indeed; strong Paul Revere and the Raiders influence to these ears. Clean and catchy, yet ballsy.

Any chance of getting that Seeds master tape to Alec Palao as he's in the process of doing the Seeds catalogue for Big Beat?

Already PM'd OHIOGARAGE Alec's email addy.

Damn...keep us posted. How do you find these things?

I just get lucky every now and then. I talk to a lot of people to dig up Ohio Info and this was a publisher from the early days of the rock and roll scene in Cleveland. He knew all the big DJ's like Alan Freed, Bill Randle and Dick Clark. Very illusive reclusive guy. Because I knew a lot about the Cleveland Scene and his releases there he decided to sell me what he had in his archives including the publishing company. Just luck that I got ahold of him at the right time. His daughter was getting ready to put the storage unit that housed all this stuff up on craigslist.

Dropped Alec an email, but don't get to excited as he probably already has the tracks... We'll See when the tape arrives.

Could be, but maybe yours is a better tape. Let's hope for a coupla newies!!! Thanks...Joey

Mystery Solved. I found the master tape and a couple of demo tapes of other stuff by them. Thier name was The In Crowd. Anyone ever heard of them or did they release anything else on vinyl? Moptop have you heard of them? I would love t know who was in the band... The guy I bought the tapes from doesn't remember...

both strong tracks that deserve some wider attention. Maybe Mark might consider them for a future USGA..?
