Thanks for the great compliment. I seem to remember Mop Top Mike saying it was one of his faves many years ago. Coming from him was pretty dang cool.As for label specific comps with liner notes that rival Tim Warren or Miriam Linna Ikon Records Story and Scream Loud are my definite favorites.

View attachment 6490 thats cool man! You also have the cd with all the extra tracks, sweet. FUN FACTS: If you look closely at the cover of the CD, you'll see that its a black and white photo, except for the sky which is in color. Back in 1987, I won a trip to Hawaii and I took a bunch of photos while there. One of the photos had this beautiful blue sky with these neat billowy clouds. Using photoshop I added those clouds to the black and white pic of Ikon Studios. Also, that building had previously been a Safeway grocery store in the 50s early 60s. The building was in East Sacramento and was torn down years ago and replaced with a doctors office. I went to garage sales for many years in that area hoping to luck upon Ikon 45s to no avail. I did however locate the owner of the Ikon building, Bob Barbeau (RIP) who still lived just a few blocks from there. Bob was the uncle of semi-famous recording artist Anton Barbeau.
