More sad news - Mick Hadley, lead singer of the Purple Hearts just passed, I think this Friday morning. I met Mick and his partner Lyn when they came to New York in 2009, and it was so much fun talking about old r&b, the Purple Hearts and his good friend Lobby. I had an email from him just a couple months ago and he was still performing. He spoke about his ill health but I didn't expect to hear this so soon.
