How do facebook group auctions work? Can you see other peoples bids and then top them or is it done by PM? I think I was a member of that group and dropped out but I only recall seeing set sales.

I use 45RPM Trade & Sell. It's mostly set sales but you're allowed to do auctions occasionally for unusual items. All claims for set sales and bids for auction are in the open by comment, not PM.

it's a 'secret' group, which means someone has to propose your FB identity to the moderator who then has to approve it.

As for the auction, no one bid ... back in the box it goes.
