After PM'ing our gracious host, I'm testing the waters to see if there's anyone here who might be interested in purchasing NOS tubes/valves that I've accumulated. As background, all tubes I sell are tested on my Jim McShane calibrated B&K 747B solid state tester; power tubes also pay a visit to my recently acquired Maximatcher 2 tester which tests power tubes at real world plate voltages of 325 and 400 volts. I can sell matched pairs of tubes that are really electrically matched (none of the "same brand, look alike so they must be matched" nonsense). I currently have singles, pairs and quads of EL84 6BQ5s from Amperex/Philips (Austria/Holland/Germany including a super nice pair of D getters from Holland with a super tight match), Mullard, GE, Sylvania black and gray plates, RCA, Tungsram (sleeper quality great tubes), Tung-Sol, and probably several other manufacturers), a Mullard rebranded for Zenith GZ34 5AR4, EL34s (quad and singles of RFT/Siemens East Germany, single GE Fatboy 6CA7), 5881s, a slew of 6DJ8/6922s, , as well as preamp tubes like 7025s, 12AU7/12AT7/12AX7/5814 and others. PM me if something caught your eye - ask if you need something I didn't list.

Want to learn about tubes? Want to know why just about every NOS tube you'll run across is probably going to last a lot longer than current production Russian and Chinese tubes? Check out the full run of Vacuum Tube Valley online at this site:
https://web.archive.org/web/2013060...fo/Pioneering-Wireless/eMagazines/VTV/vtv.htm

VTV published 20 issues before folding, and covered just about every popular audio tube with in-depth articles about specific tubes, manufacturers, sonic shoot-outs, ways to identify NOS tubes, and how-to articles to build your own amps using all manner of output tubes. Reading the complete run will give you a great starting point on learning about tubes/valves, and why certain tubes are worth $20, while others are worth hundreds of dollars.

Must be Amperex week at the ol' ranch - I sold a quad of Double D getter/brown base/hole in guidepin EL34s from the Brussels, Belgium and the Sittard, Netherlands plants, and just sold a super tightly matched (approximately 1%) pair of D getter EL84s. It's tough finding those EL34s and EL84s, let alone finding singles that I can match up (took over a year of patient hunting to put those together). I'm on the prowl now for another D getter EL84 in the hope I can match up another set...

If you don't see something you're looking for, ask - I have singles of 5881s from Tung-Sol and Sylvania, 6V6GTs, some pairs of GE 6L6GCs, as well as single 6L6GCs from GE, RCA and Sylvania.

More EL34 goodies in stock - 2 pair Double D getter Philips/Amperex, pair of Mullard double halo getter xF2s, pair Matsushitas, pair Sylvanias (Eddie van Halen's EL34 of choice) - shoot me a PM if you have any interest...
