Despite all its precision, the Objet is still at least an order of magnitude or two away from the resolution of a real vinyl record.

...and that's why, in my opinion, we'll be waiting for much higher resolution printers before 3D-printed records of half-decent quality are produced. Right now it isn't worth the cost or effort, but give it a few years...
