R.I.P. DAVID CROSBY Dead at 81

Great singer. Underrated rhythm guitar player. Garage-land owes him big for coming up
with the 'fast folk-rock arrangement' of Billy Robert's draggy blues ballad "Hey Joe".
That's the version played by Love, The Leaves, The Stillroven, The Roks and just about every
rock band that covered it before Jimi Hendrix returned it to a semi-dirge again in 1967.

yes! one of my fave Byrds tunes. The Croz stuff from "Notorious Byrd Bros." is just as good imho ('Tribal Gathering' even has a near identical guitar riff to The Stooges' "1969")
