Damn! I met him once myself while doing the press on Rhino's Faces single disc best-of, and drove him to the studio for the only CNN booking I ever secured (interview wound up on the cutting room floor, sadly). Mac autographed a couple albums for me and even told stories behind them - a super nice guy! I'd still see gig listings pop up with his Bump Band every now and then, so I assumed he was still in decent health. I guess this makes a Faces reunion pretty unlikely...
