R.I.P. John Duckworth Syndicate of Sound drummer

I'm really sorry Joey, but I had to take down the image from Getty Images. They have bots which scan the internet for unauthorized use of their images, and if they find one, they send out an invoice to the website owner for hundreds or thousands of dollars for the use of each image. If you don't pay the invoice, you are harrassed and finally sued. I know, because it happened to me already. Not on the forum, but in my publishing business. In my case, we were licensed to sell the image in Australia, and they had to back down and apologise in writing. But it took weeks to resolve the problem.

Thanks for posting about John Duckworth, it's very sad news. His drumming on the Syndicate of Sound records is amazing.

oh crap!!! sorry Mark. I found it floating around on the net so I figured it was alright. Had no clue! Won't happen again.:crap:

That's ok Joey! Most people have no idea about this and most of the time nothing happens. But if you get randomly targeted, it's a huge pain.
 
It's really weird to hear re-Getty Images. For example their stuff gets constantly posted on Hoffman forums with their watermark. Mindboggling.
