Earl was a session-monster as a drummer to be sure...but Leon is audible on piano, organ, harpsichord, guitar and vocals on some of my favorite records from the '50s/60s/70s. He was also a very gifted producer and arranger...as evidenced (recently) by the long-delayed release of Gene Clark's epic track Back Street Mirror from 1967.
