Most people realise from experience that a 45 reissue made from a sub-standard digital transfer will be a pale imitation of the real thing. So vinyl collectors will opt for original 45s. If anyone cares enough to want vinyl at all, they usually want the best vinyl. Plenty of great (more common) original 60s garage 45s are available for low prices, sometimes for less than a reissue. For the rare stuff, it's nearly all out on LP and CD compilations, or download.

Because grown men want to limit your ability to listen to 60s teenage rock music

It all depends on how good the digital transfer is. There are some great re-issues out there made by people we know who really care about the music and the sound, like this lot: https://blankrecords.bigcartel.com/...-from-the-festival-vault-1965-1969-volume-one

You can call me a nerd, but there is also something to be said for holding an original copy of a great 45 in hand, superior audio quality notwithstanding. Plus, those crackle and pops add character ;)
