What a way to go.....sad news indeed.
The Jefferson Airplane are in my top 5 groups from USA.

It's weird how most sites are saying JOEY COVINGTON DEAD, Jefferson Airplane drummer. It's sad he's dead but he was the drummer only on Bark and played 2 songs on Long John Silver. Skip Spence and Spencer Dryden were the drummers on the classic lps.

What a drag. I was just listening to his wildly underrated solo album the other day and really
digging it. Much more interesting than his Airplane and Tuna stuff...almost a doo-wop record
(wiith freaked-out Jefferson Airplane-style guitar breaks). Kinda unique, really.
