For years the info was the Rogues who cut "Put You Down" were the same group as the Dry Grins "She's a Drag" / Rogues "I Don't Need You" on La Louisianne.

Turns out it's a different group, from Montgomery Alabama, and that MBM is a Birmingham label, not related to Jay Miller's son's MBM Productions.

Good to know. It never sounded like the same singer as on the Montell-Michelle and La Louisianne
records to me, but everybody assumed that it was a Mike Miller/MBM production out of Crowley.

Our forum-departed Don Julio Blanco had informed me of the 3 45s = one group confirmation, based on his direct contacts with some of those who were involved. We never could sort out how the MBM disc fit in, since the Dry Grins guys (as christened by Cyril Vetter for that release) speculated that "She's A Drag" was their first record. They admitted memories were foggy even then, 20 years ago.
