Nosing around on youtube and hit a motherlode - the entire run of Shindig episodes are here:

Live KInks? Live Yardbirds? Hot damn, British Invasion acts galore, Jerry Lee Lewis slamming the 88s, The Beach Boys sounding great - just about everyting is performed live although, as usual, The DC5 tunes are lipsynched (is there any live footage or audio of them performing plugged in and everyone is playing, or are they always Memorex animatronic performances)?

I was born just before Shindig premiered - being able to see so many groups when they were hot (and actually playing and singing instead of singing along to a tape) is a treat.

There's also a Hullabaloo episode posted in beautiful Living Color (the only complete episode known to survive in color - thank Jerry Lewis for getting a dub for his personal library); added bonus - is that Goldie Hawn in the top left corner shimmying away as a caged go-go girl duirng Paul Revere and the Raiders doing Steppin' Out, and at the show closer with The Raiders miming to Ooh-Poo-Pah-Doo? There are also color clips of Michael Landon as well, dunno if that's all that exists in color from that episode (Landon probably got a dub of the show he hosted). Next week's guests included The Yardbirds - a shame the color tape is MIA...
