I always considered 1966 to be the zenith, but for the 2nd week of 1967, this isn't too shabby.

Mostly a great year! But my god did they flog "Green Green Grass Of Home" for about 6 months (here)! 
Same with "Snoopy vs the Red Baron", and "Winchester Cathedral". The cool stuff came and went in a flash, but those turkeys took up roost on the charts for months! Could not get away from them. It's always the way - the worst crap gets the most attention.

Wow…I LOVE “Snoopy Vs. The Red Baron”. The other two truly are the worst crap, however. I’d think most Forum members would like the Guardsmen song. Am I wrong?Mostly a great year! But my god did they flog "Green Green Grass Of Home" for about 6 months (here)!

ha, I listened to this station a lot from 1967 through 1972/3. I have a near complete run of the charts. They had more variety than this shows.

The Kinks were much bigger in NE Ohio than national average. Same for other UK bands, Small Faces, Procol Harum...

Loved Snoopy vs the Red Baron, even if I was hearing it 5 times a day when it was in the Top 20 here. The sequel songs started to get into beating a dead horse territory though.
Agreed on the other two abominations. Though I do have a lounge band LP that does a hilarious rewrite of the lyrics where the singer goes on about falling off the train that brought him home and throwing up on the green, green grass of home. (On the serious side, they do a cover of Devil with the Blues Dress/Good Golly Miss Molly that blows away Mitch Ryder.)
