The Adapters from Delaware

Montgomery Records label mogul Leonard Schwab spoke proudly of his Phil Spector
connections (even showing me several 60s-vintage Christmas cards from Phil) during a
1992 interview I had with him in Maryland. That would help explain the Moonglow Records
deal that gave some West Coast distribution to The Adapters records via that CA label.
Schwab also operated several other D.C. area labels with and without the involvement of
Vermillion Records owner Ray Vernon/Vernon Wray (including Vector which released the
boss Mister's Virtue single)...as well as managing both R&B hitmaker Little Anthony (Gourdine)
and The Creatures/Creatures Incorporated (the Rome, NY group known for their cool Zombies
pastiche "Letters Of Love" in 1965). He was a pretty busy guy back then...lol
