So, I just got off the phone with the bass player's daughter and the above photo is by the pre Allies band The Carmels 1962-1964. They (Carmels/Allies) have loads of photos and memorabilia which I will devote a thread to on g45 in the near future. Alec Palao is working on a compilation of So-Cal bands coming soon and the Allies I'll Sell My Soul will be on it. TeenBeat Mayhem lists them as a Barstow/Boron Ca. band. Should just be Boron although they played in Barstow alot as well as Lancaster, the Sunset Strip and Disneyland.
