the best new killer garage lp that just came out and is limited!!!!!

Apart from the "best" or "worst" question , I wonder why anybody would tag this as garage or freakbeat . Throwing around these tags indiscriminately renders them useless in the end .

The track in question is actually pretty decent although referring to it as "killer garage' is pretty misleading. Should appeal to anyone with an ear for the heavier end of '60s sounds. Thomas' point is a valid one.

Hey guys lets loosen up dont be so oversensitive. Yes Heaping superlatives in this kind of open forum is prehaps wrong--but being a great fan--is prehaps like a dad feeling the love for his own child--you can'[t expect anyone else to feel the same. Simply stated these guys were good--and the proof is in the pudding. Prehaps I shouldn't be so enthusiastic--and you haven't heard the rest of the lp. I stand accused and accept responsibility. But I will tell you that Mike Stax who all have the greatest respect for--heard the lp and gave it what would be considered a 5 star review in the current issue of UGLY THINGS. In any case I do suspect we all are on the same team.

No one is being oversensitive, except maybe you to criticism. If anyone here was being oversensitive, they might get on you for not introducing yourself and just showing up to hype a new release that you (I presume) just put out. That's usually considered bad form on a message board, and people often do get sensitive about that.
Yes, we do all have respect for Mike Stax. That doesn't mean we agree with everything he says or like everything he likes.
No, we haven't heard the rest of the LP, but if the track you posted is an indication, it's not promising, especially since one usually tries to put up one of the better tracks to perk interest. Obviously, the one you chose did the opposite. Accept that a number of us don't like the record - the proof is in the pudding you served.

"Killer garage", not so much, but recently unearthed fuzzy psych boom box sounding recordings still spark interest over at my house!

Okay guys I am not looking for a pissing match here --so let me tell you this--my name is steven lorber-I have run the metro music mail order for going on 30 years now. In the 60's i went to high school in lahore Pakistan and this was the band at my high school. My sin was an overenthusiastic reaction to something that brought me great joy and prehaps an improper presentation of this record to the world. For that let me offer an honest apology. I worked on this for 2 years and people like my good friend Dave Baldwin who lives close by and my very dear friend Rich Haupt have all told me how good they think it is. Of course they may have been exhibiting extreme manners and politiness in not wanting to hurt my feelings. There is enough comedy and tragic absurdism in my life for me to accept that and join them in the cosmic laugh. Of course it is hard to be objective when you are this close to the project so let me say this to all of you as my definitive statement. I think its good. I think the packaging is phenomenal. I think you will like it--but maybe you won't. Anyway all is cool. I chose this forum because I feel were are all like minded souls here. Peace be with you.

there is talk of a double cd with many trax that did not make the lp but that will be in months down the road. thanks for asking!

I've heard the tracks and it's pretty great lo-fi late-60s teen hard rock in the vein of Midwest combos like The Litter or the Third Power on Vanguard, even if it was recorded in Pakistan. There's enough psych influence to keep all but the most doctrinaire BFTG fans happy, too. This is the kind of thing that would have fit right in on the Rockadelic label (if they were still around). The packaging and liners outdo Rockadelic by a country mile.
