Hey, folks. Yesterday I found a 45 in a box of records given to me by a friend of someone who'd lived in Chicago all his life. The 45 was on a yellow label with "THE PACK" printed across the top on both sides.
The songs are "Everybody" and "Only the Young." Both numbers are credited to four people (Curi, Buhl, Cieslik, Forrester--the band, I assume) although each quotes strongly from a record by Solomon Burke and Gerry and the Pacemakers, respectively.
The label is "B&B Records." The cat #s are 55-8867-01A and 55-8867-01B.
Neither side is anything exceptional. Side A, the "rocker," has some interesting drumming, while side B features an out-of-tune 12-string solo.
I can't assume the record is from Chicago, but I don't how how else it would have wound up with this guy...deadwax has only the cat #s etched in.
Any intel? Happy New Year, everybody...
Thanks,
Stu Shea
