Anyone have the Crude PA album? - Are there any notes in there about these guys?

Here's what the liner notes say:

7. THE SCHOLARS - "I'm Gonna Make It"

From the Port Richmond section of Philly, The Scholars
were actually scholars, attending Drexel and Temple
Universities when their only 45 came out in Feb.'67 on
Ruby Ray records- "I need your lovin"/ "Please Please".
"I'm gonna make it" was left over from that session and
never got past the acetate stage. However, it features
some great group harmony combined with the garage
band sound which has been recently referred to as
"garage doo-wop". The accapella / group harmony sound
was still in full swing as late as 1968 because in Philly
you were either in a rock band or sang in a greaser
accapella vocal group.

Is that a picture of the inside of the Infamous 'Virtue' recording facility?.... I wonder if any of those old cats at the back are the voice which goes "Pepsi Cola is proud to present the Effects and The Travellers"

wow, really cool PS and insert - what a bizarre looking group. How's that record?
It's sorta like a tepid C&W/60's Rock hybrid with torturous tempo shifts. After the insert and pic sleeve, the actual music places a distant 3rd entertainment-wise.
