Arguably the cutest teen band in MI.

West Bloomfield Michigan USA 1966
Craig "Hoot" Greenshields, drums - Norman "Monk" Williams, vocals, organ -
Gary "Fast Pencil" Stockford, guitar - Chris "Chumpity" Shotwell, guitar - Ray "Buzz" Lilje, bass
(Thanks Chris!)

These are awesome, where'd you dig them up?
I found the songwriters full name in a Detroit rock discography (Shotwell/Lilje 2nd one). From there I found
Chris Shotwell on Facebook. He had no clue at all about the value of the 2nd 45 (4 850 dollars last sold)
and flipped. Ray Lilje however has disappeared completely.
The few copies not belonging to any collectors is more likely to be found in Europe, because that's
where the manager shipped most.

This is quite the flashback. I went to West Bloomfield HS and was two years behind the three youngest band members - Lilje, Shotwell, and Stockford. The older members had already graduated HS by that time. Ray Lilje's younger brother was in my class. Played at our school dance in the auditorium of the old HS at the corner of Orchard Lake and Commerce. They were very impressive with a full lineup of Vox Super Beatle amps - I believe I remember Ray Lilje using a Höfner bass - left me wondering where in the &%$@ they got the $$$ for all that gear. They could even sing and play well!! I was the oldest player in a younger and not-very-good band at that time - on the right with the Kay bass guitar:
