I'm conflicted after reading this article of how A Food critic raved about a restaurant, It was a great local hole in the wall, serving great food to the locals until one day a food critic raves about it in their regional column or that idiot Guy Fieri says you have the "hippest place in town. Next thing you know people HAVE to eat there and your reservations are stacked for months. Volume goes up quality goes down and you broke and close
It's the same with the obscure unknown garage, rockabilly & surf that has been lurking for centuries waiting to be discovered and the inevitable explosion of reissue comps (with questionable quality and artist royalties) explodes. Now guys like us have to pay vast sums of money to try to get what we want on e-bay or do without (like me). It there a happy medium or are the re-issues the scourge.. I'm conflicted because Alec Palao, Miriam Linna, JoeyD, Tim Warren (who goes through painstaking efforts to track the bands down) and the there's the one who don't give a shit a bootleg everything.
