I am looking for someone to help me with getting a .wav file of a song on a particular CD. I don't want to buy the whole CD as I occasionally have dub plates made of my favorite teen garage sounds and the .wav file is what I use to do those. I can use dropbox or pcloud to receive the file. Can pay $5 by PayPal friends and family if someone can help me here. I know the song is only on that particular CD above, I believe was released in 1999, although the song I need is from 1965-1966. There are others I can use but I want to see if anyone on this forum can help someone with this sort of thing. Thanks for reading. Bob Pegg, Tacoma,Washington USAsanfranciscosoundsomeonetolove.jpg

Good timing, I was just talking to Alec Palao who put the cd together. And you really should go out and buy the cd. It's great.

Thanks Frantic. I suppose if I have to I will look for a used CD copy after a certain time has passed looking for someone to help. I'm far from giving up this soon :) My garage tastes are really quite narrow, I actually collect the teen and white doowop records from the late 1950's and early 1960's and then I like the "melodic" or "sentimental" sunshine pop sounds like the Yellow Balloon and the Association from the 1960's. Lots of garage records have flip sides that are in that pure sunshine pop vein. The "Happy Together" tour bands that still perform are typical of what I like going back to my college days in the late 1960's. From the Autumn label, I do like and have the 45 of Upsetters on Autumn, two good sides. The Tikis did not issue "True Love Is Hard To Find" on a 45, hence me wanting to make a dub plate. I have heard of Alec Palao, isn't he associated with Barry Wickham's garage music guide, or did I confuse him with someone else? :)

yes, he's friends with Barry. We really don't give out songs on the forum that you can still buy. :(

Thanks for that reply, Frantic. I do appreciate your direct honesty! That's O.K. I just don't want to pay $35 to get the CD in my hands, then pay another $35 to get the dubplate made, then pay another $8 on label design= $78 for one song. I will find other avenues, I am a very patient person.
