Here's a very interesting one-sided acetate LP I bought on eBay about 2 years ago. There are 5 tracks which obviously were intended to have vocals, but are unfinished on the acetate. It has absolutely no info on the label (because it has no label). Maybe someone can identify the band? Maybe it was released in some form? I think it's good. It would have been great with vocals!

Yeah so it is definitely that, Somebody's Chyldren song - I'm Going Back to New York City (but with different lyrics than my brain recalled wrongly but quickly). The rest of those instrumental tracks would have been pretty good too with that vocalist dubbed in. Is the flip Shadows one of the instrumentals too!!

Very cool.

And yes, the flipside of the Somebody's Children 45 "Shadows" is the same as the first track above (AcetateLP1), with added vocals. It's very interesting to hear how different it sounds with vocals. I'll post that track here soon, as it does not appear to be compiled at all (and it's pretty good!).

I recognized it immediately from the "one two three four" Shouted count in, after the first guitar crunch I was singing the "ahh ahh ahhhhyeeeee, I was born in new York City" The title eluded me for a while... duhhhh. A pretty easy spot really:rolleyes:.

Very nice. I'd have guessed track 5 was called Shadows.. Way more dark, I can nearly hear spooky shadowy singing in there.:D.

That really is a great half of a half of an album they had there.

..and Track 4 would have been a really wyld brain beater.
