Here is some entertainment, for your amusement when you have nothing better to do. It shows the complete contents of one of the 75 boxes of '60s garage 45s that lie beneath layers of reinforced concrete in the bunker. The box chosen is USA '60s garage, Box 1, which contains the entire letter "A". There was an introduction but I had to trim it off to save download time. I hope you enjoy the guided tour!

If you prefer to download the file....

Warning...This hour-long MP4 movie file is over 800 megabytes. That's nearly one gigabyte. It is reasonably high definition and is not suitable for streaming video, so it must be downloaded before playing. Please RIGHT-CLICK the link and download to your computer, then play. Do not just click the link, or you'll probably be waiting for ages for the movie to play, if it plays at all.

Best documentary film ever.
Thanks Mr. Pfft! And it's made so much, much better by having access to TBM for super accurate details. I was spewing out locations like I was the David Attenborough of '60s garage! I should'a enhanced my act by spouting a few dates as well. There's always next time!

Mark, I am APPALLED that you do not keep your 45s in strict alphabetical order ;)

Man, other than the Randy Alvey 45, which I will never get in three lifetimes, I am so needing the Amoeba 45.
Have most of the others, minus three or 4, not including the acetates, of course.

I agree that the Aztecs "World Of Woe" scored a bit low in TBM; I gave that and the other side as well a high rating, both were 6 /6 for me.

Mark, for a request, howzabout pulling a bunker box of Euro-beat 45s? Any country would suffice for me, as I have so very few non USA 45s. I sold most of what I had to be able to afford US garage 45s, since I needed financial "stamina" to try and battle against yourself, Barry, Doug and the other high rollers 8-)

Oh, the Avanties 45, "Baby Come Back" is a killer in my world (occupied by only me, haha). I have a mint minus copy, and dug up a spare - a beater 2 years ago at the Allentown record show, which played a bit worse than it looked (VG minus after a good cleaning). The band members did not have any copies, so unless they turn up in the hills of south-central PA, it remains a very hard to find garage 45.

Looking forward to viewing this! In the meantime, the conclusion is that my download bandwith speed sucks donkey's ass!

could you put this on vimeo or youtube, so I could view it without downloading?
I would love to do that, but would they accept an hour long file which is over 800 Mb in size? I'm sure youtube would not, their limit is 15 minutes of compressed video.

I just looked at Vimeo, and their terms and conditions. Maybe i will join that. I'll think about it today.

UPDATE : G45Central now has a Vimeo Pro account. I will spend some time today working out how it works.

I have AODS (Alphabetical Order Disorder Syndrome)

The Amoeba will show up one day, I'm sure. It does not seem to be impossibly rare. Randy Alvey may be another matter. Someone will have to crack.:bucks!:

Regarding my video commentary about TBM ratings, it's impossible to resist the temptation to argue with the consensus. But it's just for fun. I actually have a lot of respect for ratings the panel came up with, most times I would trust it even above my own opinion.

I also like the Avanties, mainly because of the ridiculously loud tambourine. It would be hard to convince most listeners that this was a desirable feature though, ha!

Regarding Euro 45 videos - anything and everything is now possible with the new Vimeo Pro account, including an in-depth look at the Australian section of the bunker. That video would take 5 hours, at least!

Really nice one! Is that a Vestax Handy Trax?

Yes. I have a heavy coin taped to the counterweight, to minimise the tracking weight. It works fine and is kinder to the 45s.
I wish someone would market a better option. The Vestax is just a little too tacky for my liking. It's amazing how it will play a 45 vertically though:yikes:
