I enjoyed it, watched it twice. Nice pace to it except the final three years of the band were condensed into 1/2 an hour. I don't think there was any footage in the doc that hadn't been available elsewhere.
I found it interesting how Haynes used the film to show snippets of about every significant underground filmmaker of the '50s and '60s. The licensing for that alone was extensive and must have been costly. Certainly added to the visual element, but other than Warhol & Tony Conrad, the VU were not particularly involved in the underground film scene to my knowledge.
