Hi!

I ´m coming to WFMU this year for the first time! I am very excited !

Are people without tables bringing a small box of trades'? I am planning to do so!

Jens

Ill be there for friday and saturday, i will be the guy in his early thirties, short hair and a blue cast on my right hand, please come say hi!

I've gotta pass on WFMU this year (sob!).

Looks like there'll be some good events happening away from the main auction: In the AV lounge on Saturday there will be a showing of foreign '60s clips and Hackamore Brick will be playing a short set in the afternoon. I know it would be torture to go to the show but not be able to buy anything.

i am waiting anxiously the wfmu fair...too bad for this hurricane that seems it gonna be worse than Irene last year. hopefully by wednesday Nyc ,upstate (ny),long island and connecticut will get through with minimum damage.
although jersey it's not looking good so far!

I hope everyone comes out of this storm OK.

As for the WFMU fair, things do not look good! Even if the fair goes on, it's likely so much public transportation will be out it will limit attendance, not to mention flights coming in cancelled or backlogged.

Yes, subway lines in downtown manhattan, bronx etc.,are flooded, so they're speculating days without public transportation. at least int. jfk closed for one more day, la guardia at least a couple more days. not to mention great part of lower manhattan with no electricity. but should be restored really quick.
so yeah it looks grim. hopefully they dont cancel!

Latest update, per WFMU's Facebook page, is that the fair has been canceled. The Metropolitan Pavilion has no power and does not expect any until Saturday at the earliest. And many of the local trains are expected to be inactive this weekend.

I heard from one of the dj's on the station this morning. He said Ken will be looking into a rescheduling date as soon as he is able to contact the met Pavillion. He'll be looking into the possibility of something for later this season or in the spring.

Sorry for all you NEsters. ...you can have a taste of WV style electrical power cuts (that occur about every 3 months lasting anything from a day to 5 days for a random twig taking down a cable somewhere in the woods).

Just got switch on, ourselves, after 2 inches of snow took us down for 2 days (fuck AEP - Appalachian Extermination Project trying to clear the population so Coal can take the mountains down)

A reminder, Romney doesn't believe in global warming affecting weather blah blah blah... A vote for the Romnean is a vote for studitity.

I thought you LIBS changed that to CLIMATE CHANGE so you can blame any storm on the Repubs...Oh brother...(Insert great big sigh!)
