Headed to Austin for a few days. Where should I go in or near Austin or Georgetown TX for records/ food/ interesting sights, etc? I'd like to hear your recommendations.

i've been to waterloo and antones in silicon gulch, but that was in the 90s.

I have not dug for records in Austin in years. Just soooo much wild action. Your best success might be actual stores and top of the heap in my opinion is Breakaway Records. Owner Gabe is good peoples.

Holler at G45 member OnTheRoadSouth here as well. He's not gonna give up the ghost on spots, but might have a thing or two to sell. Dude is always blowing up my phone with his latest finds.

Thanks Westex, that's the kind of recommendation I was looking for. I'll have the family in tow, so I wonder how much digging I'll get to do, but I'll try...
