Knight Raiders - Edgewood Studios acetate

Although I did not personally know him, I am sorry to read the news and your loss. I am glad that Jim leaves you with good memories.

Ty Wagner & Jon Spencer on KEXP

This is kind of surreal. Thanks for sharing.

    Masterbeat64 has passed on ...

I’m sorry to read of your loss. I only knew of him on the old forum and enjoyed the comps that he shared.

Songs that could be '60s garage...if they weren't hits

Dave Clark Five - I'm Thinking Beatles - Bad Boy Rolling Stones - Fortune Teller Turtles - She'll Come Back Cowsills - All I Really Wanna Be Is Me Monkees (or Paul Revere/Raiders version) - I'm Not Your Steppin' Stone (l believe already mentioned in TBM - it's late and I'm too lazy to check)

    GERMS. MIA (Complete Anthology) (1977-1980)

Although this falls under CA post-punk, I have never (even to this day) grown tired of Rikk Agnew's debut LP. I like his work with Christian Death and the Adolescents too, but his solo debut LP (in my opinion) has no filler. https://www.discogs.com/master/224451-Rikk-Agnew-All-By-Myself

    Soup Greens

MopTopMike, I appreciate you taking the time and posting the story. Now that I think about it, I'm pretty sure that I once read this in Misty Lane. It was obviously a good write up because after all these years, I still remember it. Thanks again.

    Soup Greens

Posting right before I'm going to sleep can lead to embarrassing moments (I'm not a Soup Dragons fan either). Thanks for the info. For my blunder, I probably deserved to be stripped of my Ikon class status. Thanks for the correction.

    Soup Greens

I was listening to "That's too bad" today and recall reading a story from probably 15 years ago. I'd like to read it again. If anyone here can provide a link, I'd appreciate it. From memory, someone (maybe a member here?) was spinning records over the airwaves... when a member of the Soup...

    Spill Over From 1966

I wasn't too fond of the LP, but I find the single enjoyable.

    Spill Over From 1966

I always considered 1966 to be the zenith, but for the 2nd week of 1967, this isn't too shabby.

    YouTube Discoveries

Years ago, I dated a girl from Baldwinville MA that said the exact same thing. She wasn't into garage at all. In fact, she said that she received a new Dave Clark 5 lp on her birthday and thought it was too abrasive. She must have known her Standells though... because during our break up she...

    Clear Light

I really like the LP, but I kick myself when I see the cover. Back when i was growing up, we had a department store called "Zayers." As a teenager in the early 1980's, I would look through their 'discount' LP's. Five or more sealed copies of this LP along with Ultimate Spinach + others were...

    Thrift Store Treasures

I don't know how to include a laugh emoji... but you got a chuckle out of me on that one.

    Thrift Store Treasures

You always seem to have incredible luck! There are three or four thrift stores I check on a weekly basis (and others less frequently). The most 'obscure' thing so far this year isn't worth a mention (Fifth Estate "Ding Dong The Witch Is Dead" - which I didn't even purchase).
