What exactly is a tax scam record?

Looking at it again, I think the Things To Come LP might actually be a tax scam LP, despite being pressed by Century. The logo for the Album Concepts tax scam label appears on the front cover, and the distributor credited on the back also seems to be tax-scam connected

What exactly is a tax scam record?

totally unrelated to the USA tax scam scheme. pressings of 100+ were taxed in the UK, so to avoid having to pay those taxes many artists would have 99 copies made of their releases. not a 'scam' at all (at least not by the artists...)

    The End Result (Yenta)

Yeah I figured the "kiddie vocals" could be a female vocalist. I guess I never got true confirmation the band was from Pleasantville, just the guy I talked to (and the organ used in the band) were located there. Sorry, this convo was over a year ago. The guy stopped responding to my messages so...

Never said no digital. I don't collect reissues/modern pressings either (for the same reasons you put forth) but lots of people do & there's nothing wrong with that.

This is mine and I hope to see it reissued soon, either on a comp or as a 45. The flip kills too -- Al's heard it & I'm sure he can vouch!
