    One woman's search for a Keggs 45

Only 75 copies were pressed. Bootleg copies of this 45 exist in vast quantities, they have "ORBIT-A" and "ORBIT-B" scratched in the deadwax area. According to Tim Warren (Crypt Records) : "A band so hated in Detroit, they had to change their name after every show they played! The guitarist met...

The Marauders - Nightmare B/W Lovin' (Lee Record Label)

Many years ago my best friend in high school Michael Venn's parents were moving back to Michigan (Saginaw to be exact) and they offered me a box of vinyl. As you might expect they were mostly common LP's but there were several 45's. The LP's ended up being donated but one 7'' (there were...

New Pete "Mad Daddy" Myers book

I hope somebody makes a movie about him someday. I think the best actor for the title role would be Jim Carey if only he could channel his In Living Colour and Ace Ventura (terrible film) personas.

New Pete "Mad Daddy" Myers book

I'm certain that we can all agree there has never been a disc jockey in the same stratosphere as the Mad Daddy. Mad Mike Metrovitch, The Black Pope and Ghoulardi are amazing but they are NOT Pete Myers. For thos who love him (like me) and for those who want to learn about this Cleveland Radio...

Ty Wagner & Jon Spencer on KEXP

Always have, always will love Jon Spencer but I miss the JSBX (and Christina Martinez). Great Chemistry. I remember reading once he is from the Town of Hanover, NH where he got his start playing the Dartmouth campus.

Rare TV and Radio Spots from the 50's & 60's.

Just in case you're thirsty here is a Barq's Root Beer ad Circa mid 60's. It's not on the 45 label but Don Cole is reponsible for it.

Rare TV and Radio Spots from the 50's & 60's.

I miss drive-ins. The only one left in New Hampshire is down the street from me. The last film I saw there was Kill Bill Vol. 2 and I couldn't help but think that was EXACTLY how Tarantino wanted it to be seen.

Rare TV and Radio Spots from the 50's & 60's.

In 1960 the Marquis Chimps (Enoch, Susie, Baron and Hans) were signed to appear in a trio of television commercials for Brooke Bond Foods, makers of Red Rose Tea. The commercials featured the chimps in parodies of a Wild West shoot out, a golf match and the most popular, a wild nightclub with a...
