1967 Battle of the Bands

I was the drummer in the Active Ingredients and this is about half of the footage that was taken that night!!!

please please do put the rest up, this the best footage of 60's teen bands ever! were it longer, i'd even suggest you sell it via mailorder on dvr or whatever, really amazing footage and your band and all the bands are totally amazing bands here. The Westchester scene was one of the east coast's coolest back then.

I missed this one.
Essential stuff. Amazing colours. I only remember seeing colours like these in a film with early Stones live footage.
And the dance action is as thrilling as the music. I fell in love! ;)

Who again did the original of the second song that the band playing "Light My Fire" is doing?

You mean "Steve's Song"? That's first. And then "Cheryl's Going Home".
All of their versions are pretty decent, I think. Who are they anyway?

If there is footage this great from this battle of bands competitions.... surely there is more footage of the presentation to the winning band etc.

I have stated it to many people, this video was the best thing I saw on the internet.

The show was a Band Festival like the open mic thing we do today, there was no winning band. The Hairy Things by far were the best band at the show! I do have the entire video but the film quality of the show is very bad! Should I post It?

as long as the film is not so destroyed that the print wont survive another run through the ol' projector, please do put up the rest whenever you get a chance, we'd all love to see it.
