Hi everyone. Every year at the start of the new year on my radio show (http://www.facebook.com/pages/The-M...-Obscure-Oldies-Radio-Program/182326748511750) I do an annual show in tribute to all the musicians who died in the past year. I keep a good log of the more well known artists, but in the past I've noticed that I have a hard time keeping track of the more obscure artists (such as garage, psych & rock n roll musicians). If anyone can help me with the lesser known guys who passed in the last year, it would be very helpful to me. My show specializes in rock and pop music from 1955 to 1975, covering all rock and pop genres despite what sub-genre. I won't cover any jazz or classical artists unless they released some sort of pop-oriented record during that time frame. Blues is also a touchy subject unless they were a real major influence on rock n roll. Other than those limitations, all musicians and singers will be considered. Please, if you know of any small-time guys who deserve a tribute, please respond to this post as soon as you can. Thanks!

I was reminded last night of the death of Gary Garcia in 2011. He is the same of Buckman and Garcia - of "Pac Man Fever". However, he played guitar in two recording bands from his home town of Akron, OH - the Outlaws who had 2 45s and Rogues. He is the guitar player on the Harvey Russell and the Rogues "Keep a Knockin'" 45. He did not play on the first Harvey Russell and Rogues 45 "Shake Sherry". He was also on the Animal Jack 45 "You Gotta Hear the Beat" - Animal Jack were not a real band, just a recording project for Buckman and Garcia several years before "Pac Man Fever".

A bit off topic here, but Tom Ardolino drummer for NRBQ passed on peacefully this past Friday @ 56. Tom was a good friend, great guy & a die-hard record collector. On a good night they were a great band & Tom was always on top of his game. I'm sad to see him go
