I'm glad someone remembered to do this. I have been completely preoccupied with the set sale stuff. What a great selection of 45s above. Nothing less than rare & killer on the entire list. So did you score a lot of filler titles as well, or did you just go for the top end this year Nacho?

I split my time and money hunting down onthe r&b rockabilly side, but I still managed to get some great records!

Marauders - Warning (Heads)
Infinitives - Heidi (Kahill)
Continentals - I'm Gone (Gaylo)
Jolly Green Giants - Caught you red handed (Result)
Remaining Few - Painted Air (Askel)
The Elite - One Potato (Charay)
The Elite - My Confusion (Charay)
Teddy Boys -
Andrew Oldham Orchestra - I Get Around
Bobby Fuller - King Of The Beach (Exeter)
and the biggest want of the year...
The Things - My Love (DJ)

w-o-w!

A rough year didn't allow for many opportunities to head off & out in quest of 45s.
Only managed to attend the WFMU Record Fair, can't recall what I obtained ( very few 45s)
Have a pile of mostly obscure 45s needed for ratings / TBM documentation= usual priorities of late.
Still I was able to knock off a few most-wanted 45s from the eternal gotta get list:

Monteras (Orlyn)
Nomads (J+S)
Spiders (Santa Cruz)
Status Quo (Grant)
Them USA (Basic)

Best score this year - previously undocumented acetate by the Choir which included a different recordimg of "Treeberry" and better condition copies of two other songs that were on the reissues

I've pretty much got every Ohio garage, rockabilly, and pre 1975 soul 45 now. This year the prime adds were
Intrigues - I used to love you baby
Beechwood Farm - EP
Ricky Hodges - It happened too fast
Charardes (blue eyed soul/greaser band from Cleveland) - demo LP acetate
Ivan and Sabers - rare 1st version of "Listen To Me"
+ upgrades and some rare but dull misc records

A couple soul 45s of note
Frankie Beverly - Because of My Heart
Gwen Owens - Wanted and Needed

I'll list the garage 45s when I get a chance

I had a good year,

scored two of my Orlyn faves

and another moody masterpiece:

plus I found this which I am very happy about:

The Scribes – „Just Last Night“ on OKAY
James & James Gang – „Act Right“ on White Cliffs
Mods – „Days Mind The Time“ on CeeThree
Cholos – „Last Laugh“ on Farad
Perils – „Hate“ on Velva
NAIF – „Blue & Green Gown“ on Congressional (thanks MTM!)
M.J. & The Pendulums – „You’re Wrong Girl“ on Bob-Ke
Chancellors – „Dear John“ on Fenton
Trolls – „Walkin’ Shoes“ on Peatlore

Tribu Terrys – „Leavin’ To Stay“ on Prism

Happy holidays and a good 2015 to all!

Mixed bag of mostly US purchases, I managed to cross a few wants off my list:

*Thunderbolts "Heart so cold" (TR2)

*The Cowsills "All I wanta be is me" (Joda)

Rest of the world beauties:
*Dream “Rebellion (Can I ask you one more question)” (Havoc)
*Armando “Blow’n my mind” (GV) [not garage but interesting & rare late 60s organ fueled hard rock]
*Glass Menagerie “Frederick Jordan” (Astor)
*Nicolas Nils & Les Murators "Il faut trimer dur" (Disques Vogue) [EP / decent covers of The Seeds' "Pushin' too hard" & "Try to understand"]

*The Chances Are "Fragile child" (Columbia)

Mark, this are all the 45`s that i bought this year, the last year i decided to collecting the records that kill me, mainly from BFTG`S, TS, Pebbles and PDW. Each year i buy less records and i believe that the next year i will buy less than 20, if i lucky with some of my wants of the Insane 60`s collection

Nachete, you should know "1523 Blair" MUST BE mine. ;)

I've had a self-imposed quiet year. Great to see so many of you score some killer 45s! I'll post up some garage 45 scans later. But personally, tops for me the last month was scoring a factory fresh copy of this. Sorry, it ain't garage, but what the hell.

Ahh, wouldnt want to miss the beloved year-end-tradition. It’s been a good year, less garage-focused than 2013 but with great additions on all collection-fronts.

These 10 mark my personal garage-highlights:

DRUSALEE & THE DEAD: Lillly (Vardan)
DSC02402.jpg
If snarl and moodiness are your gin and tonic then this makes for a very tasty drink indeed. Much to my dismay, my copy didn’t come with their earlier„“have hearse, will travel“ band-card.

GNOMES: The Sky Is Falling (Afton)
DSC02401.jpg
Same label as the Five Bucks though that's not what the price sticker said. A beautiful ramshakle ballad backed by cool garage tune.

SOUND BARRIER: Hey Hey (Zounds)
DSC02405.jpg
The kind of fuzz to power cities, even the tambourine sounds „high voltage“. Similar amazing b-side. This was the one and only „Garage Greats“ boot I bought, and after going through that aural atrocity an original sounds utterly overwhelming.

BARONS: Time And Time Again (SRO)
DSC02403.jpg
Possibly more loved for „Now You’re Mine“, but I was getting much more milage out of the less pounding other side this year.

BILLY & THE KIDS: When I See You (Julian)
DSC02404.jpg
Not only does the Julian lable-design glitters with all artistic might, but this 2nd Billy & Kids 45 merges juvenile exuberance with the hormonal uproar of puberty as perfectly as that wild party where your best friend takes off with the girl you had a crush on.

HUNGRI I’s: Half Your Life (Paris Tower)
DSC02400.jpg
Label-fave! Fast-paced, moody and with great guitar-organ.

PSYCHO: You Need Me (Frantic)
DSC02399.jpg
Some call it crude, but I just love the roominess of the sound on this.

SEEDS OF TIME: She’s Been Travelling Around The World (Morgan)
DSC02396.jpg
This songs sparks a highly contagious energy that makes it easy to understand why it’s fun to play in a garage band.

SHYRES: Where Is Love (Cori)
DSC02395.jpg
A pattern becomes obvious: I do like them fast and minor-key. 10/10 in „my book“.

REGIMENT: My Soap Won’t Float (G&G)
DSC02398.jpg
No wonder it doesn’t float, this 45 feels mighty heavy. V. happy to have boxed this "Trash Box"-staple as it makes up lyrical silliness („Turn the color on to green, makes me want to eat ice cream“) with great acid-punk.

THE ROCK SHOP: Is That Your Halo (Rowena)
DSC02397.jpg
Mean and with a steam-engine on the drums. Least disturbing harmonica use on a garage-tune I know.

Also put the UK-folk-section on a much more solid foundation:
DSC02406.jpg

And crossed a couple of KBD / DIY / power-pop titles off the list:
DSC02407.jpg

Have a good holiday season you all and a great 2015. May the "incredible garage sale" make some big crosses on everyones wants list.

And a big thanks to our host here, Mr. Bosshoss, for making this such a great hangout!
